OAASIS working with Oxfam

OAASIS Group, a DistributionNOW company, have recently been awarded a contract to supply a variety of MRO equipment to an international charity.

Oxfam, a globally renowned aid and development charity, awarded the MRO supply contract to OAASIS Group earlier in 2015 after a comprehensive tendering process which included strict guidelines.

OAASIS will supply Oxfam with pre-packaged kits containing tooling and other MRO equipment that would be called for in an international humanitarian emergency for the duration of the 2 year contract, with an optional 1 year extension.

The contract will be served from OAASIS Group’s Great Yarmouth base where the equipment will be despatched to Oxfam.

Despite the Oxfam contract bringing OAASIS into previously unexplored markets, Operations Manager Terry Simmons is confident the Great Yarmouth branch will provide Oxfam with the high quality, reliable service that OAASIS is well known for in the industries they usually support.

Although this is a new market for us, we are very familiar with the equipment required for the contract and see many parallels between this market and the industrial sectors we already support in the levels of service and response that will be required

Simmons commented.

He continued,

We are very pleased to have won this contract with Oxfam and look forward to further developing our relationship.
