Following a competitive tendering process, conducted on behalf of one of the big 6 energy companies, by Ecosse Subsea Systems, industrial supply company OAASIS Group was awarded a two year framework agreement by the energy company to supply equipment to the energy giant’s wind farm.

The £736 million offshore wind farm project off the Humber Estuary on the Yorkshire coast will have 73 wind turbines when fully operational. Ecosse Subsea Systems, a technology based company operates the SCAR trenching plough and various other technologies and will supply the major utility provider’s offshore wind farm with the carousel and back deck personnel tasked with the installation of the Humber Gateway array cables.

Ecosse required PPE and MRO equipment for a 50 man team for the duration of the contract. OAASIS were able to supply almost all of the items requested on a consumables list provided by the client including essential tools and industrial consumables, workwear, life jackets, marine survival suits and various personal protective items such as gloves and footwear.

We first worked with this client on a wind farm local to our Great Yarmouth office just over ten years ago, since then we have supplied the majority of offshore wind farms up and down the East Coast of England as well as many more across the rest of the UK and Europe, including London Array, Burbo Bank, Robin Rigg, Gwynt y Mor plus Germany’s Meerwind and Bard.
